Oh hell I will take as much as I can get for it. He on the other hand might have something different to say about it.

It is suprisingly solid for a New Hampshaa caa! Floors are holding water so they must not have holes in them!

My buddy has a scrap yard / junk yard. Stopped there yesterday to drop off some # 1 steel. He found this last week in a local barn. Been siting since the late 60's.

Me too so I can stuff a small block, & a SM456 trans. in it! I would be happy with just the pickup version myself.
Spent the last three days installing a master disconect switch, a continuos duty soliniod, a fuse panel, and rewiring a good majority of it. Took the PTO out, and stripped it down yesterday afternoon. Leaking out every orifice! Couple of the seals where wrong so now its wait until Wed. for new ones.

No cutting on that one. All original except dual exhaust, & the paint, which is 25 years old.

Check out this craftsmanship. You don't see U joint saddles like this now a days!!
The yoke is shaped for them to slide over, then the through bolt goes through both the saddle, and the yoke.

Ive been thinking of building another one that goes in a 2" trailer reciever!
Re: Wat I did last week.

Thank you.
I try to over build stuff like this. I wanted to run a piece of 1/2"x 4" flat stock across under the light boxes, and would have run the botom tube all the way across as well then tie them both in part way up the corners by the hinges, but it wasn't in the guys budget.
It will be part of the support for the trailer and the whole load of wood chips when its on the dump platform. Plus the rock heads that drive the skidders are not gentle when pushing the truck and trailer loaded with chips out of the landing.
The 6x6 is 1/4", 4x4 & 4x10 is 3/16', the gussets are 3/8", the flat overlays are 1/2" The sheet for the ICC lights, plate etc is 1/8".
Wat I did last week.

Just figured I would post what I did last week.
Did a brake job, and built a new bumper for a chip trailer.
Cut off the cracked bent stuff.

New 6"x6"x1/4" wall tube.
6"x6", & 4"x4"x3/16" wall legs tacked in place.
Filler to continue frame all the way to rear box crossmember and bumper.

Lower cross tube.
Welded all joints up at this point.

Corner gussets.
Overlays clamped on, 1/2" x 4".
Welded on.

Plate panel, D rings, & painted.

Lights, & flaps.

This is way cool!

One of my builds on Craigslist

Rebuilt the floors, rockers, cab corners, etc. and sprayed this about five years ago.
Hard to see in these pics but there is a second stripe that starts out bright blue, steps up, fades into purple right about where the silver fades to gold. Then it turns to a checkerd flag pattern, then into a Bow Tie, then back to checkered flag pattern, wraps around and does the same on the other side.

Yes 3/4 ton. I have a used 400 that worked when I pulled it out 12 or 13 yeras ago. Plus my best friend does auto trannies on the side. Parts probably run around $200, $300 / $350 with a converter.

Floor is pretty hurt. Bed is rough, hood has a crap load of pinholes in it. She has had the peanut butter put to her in the past. Who ever did it last time did a decent job, but it was many years ago. Couple of slabs of filler pealing off the roof! The doors are in good shape, thinking they have been replaced. The guy I got it from used it as a yard plow truck for seven years. only stopped because the trans died. he pulled the plow and was going to put it on something else. My budy bought the plow and the truck he was going to put it on several months ago. They moved to Maine, have their house up for sale. They sent me a check for the plow bill and a note saying if I wanted it to go get it. They sold it to some guy from Mass. six months ago but he never came to get it, is now in prison.
