That's bad! As in awesome! Two things, though"
1. How much more can they shorten sidewalls?
2. I'm not a fan of the coffin-shaped muffler. I'm not really a fan of coffin-shaped anything, really. Mufflers, guitar cases, ect...Not my thing. Just my personal opinion and I know it's your living. No hard feelings.
Hope you sell a ton of 'em though! We gotta get this economy going. The Government certanly doesn't have a clue...

Hi E-Merlyn,my Name is Elroy,my son and I own The Coffin Muffler & Newberrys Muffler. We do custom Exhaust and manufacture our muffler....I under stand why you don't like the Coffin thing and trust me I respect that.We are not saddistic in any way or do we put up with that type of buisness......BUT.... the Coffin Muffler was designed to make BIG horse power..........it is not a gimic, the design is all about flow, the shape helps to tuck it in spots that a box muffler (flowmaster ect.) won't go in.......that means that we have a more versatile product for the installer, the customer gets the performance, sound and fuel economy..........there are different sound levels and so...I'm sorry if I'm boring you.....but please don't get stuck on the look thing........WE ARE ABOUT GOING FAST and making NOISE...........please go to our website thecoffinmuffler.com any further questions feel free to call me 24/7 at 559-635-2001

thats a neat concept of the coffin shape muffler. I like the hearse, not a fan of the super huge wheels. 18" is the biggest I go on anything I have built. Do you make those mufflers in stainless?

Hey, Elroy, I hope you don't think I was putting you down. I'm just not a fan of the coffin viusal. I just think so many businesses have used it as a gimmick.
Who knows? Maybe I'll be buying some mufflers from you in the future. Lord knows there won't be much room for exhaust on some of the cars I've got on my mental sketch pad. Have you ever seen the underside of a Cavalier? Then, imagine it RWD with independent suspension. Just thinking about it makes me want to call you...
Keep up the good work and let's see more pics!

Yes we do make them in stainless........the body and guts are made of 304 stainless, the end caps are 409 stainless so we can expand or swedge from 21/2"-3"

Well, if my Chevette winds up having two cylinder banks I'll certainly need something compact in the exhaust department. Right now I'm sticking with an in-line engine so there's plenty of room.
Who knows? Your winning personality and charm might just make your product irresistable. I like doing business with acquaintances rather than just ordering from the super product catalog.
