Hang up and drive.

I'm not a perfect driver. I know that. I sometimes wander a bit, but usually manage to stay in my lane. I've doped off and gone too fast or too slow. On the other hand, I rarely even have my cell phone turned on much less driven while chatting away. The only time I will talk very long while driving is while calling the police on someone who is either impaired and risking other drivers or the one time I saw a pedophile trying to get kids in the car. (His probation was revoked after that.)

The current crop of texting has me worried. I see idiots texting while driving on the road. Sometimes with kids in the car. Yesterday (June 26), 4 teenaged girls were crossing a local road. Three of them got off to one side and an oncoming driver swerved to miss them. The fourth one lagged and he couldn't miss her. She was 16. Geez, look where you're going and hang up and drive.

I agree 100% with what your saying. I have made countless trips across the US and have been in almost every state except for Hawaii, Alaska, and North Dakota. You wouldnt believe some of the things I have seen going on. Yesterday I was almost hit on a 2 lane road by a teeny bopper, i was driving as close to the edge as possible without going off and she stayed right in the middle of the road. I think she was trying to text while driving.

2 words....BIG HORNS!That usually does it.That is the first modification to any vehicle I get.My F350 has a set of double trumpets mounted on the roof,My 1st deuce has one IHC single honker that barely fits under the hood,my 2nd deuce has a United Pacific Fake train trucker horn(I do NOT condone using real train horns on the street for anything purpose other than shows and gatherings under controlled situations. They are extremely loud and WILL cause accidents and major hearing loss),My ranger due to space limitations got a Wolo Arooga horn(Loud and very noticable nontheless).

I was always kind of fond of the blues mobile loud speaker so you could just yell at them. Air horns work though too.

I really like the Blues Brothers. I think it is the best way to tell those ASSHOLES to hang up and drive.

OK, I have to reply. They had to pass another law out here in La-La Land (CA) about text messaging. Don't. Seems they passed a no cell phone to ear but forgot to include text messaging. Urgh- As Lou said "drive"  I get so tird of people not watching because they are texting or even talking. They have enough trouble driving without talking on the phone or even to their passangers. I have a 20' box truck and I like my air horns. Don't use them much but when I do people seem to think I am bigger truck. (Cause they can't see me it seems)
My best defence is to stay off the road-but since I sell at Renn Fairs I have to drive and that gets me. What we need is less steerer's  and more drivers

When I got my Goldwing, I knew the horns had been modified. I was at work and decided to hit the switch with one of the other guys next to me. This was the first time I did that without a helmet on. I nearly jumped out of my skin.

Now, I ride paranoid. It's a survival trait. I just know that Cora Cataract is going to pull out in front of me, If you consider the bell curve of intelligence in the community at large, 100 is average. People at the bottom of the scale don't drive and the ones at the top usually can't find their car keys. This narrows it down a bit. That still means that half of the people coming at you on the road are of subaverage intelligence. Ask any rider and they will tell you that people will pull up to a stop[ sign and stop. They will then look straight through you and pull out. Otherwise they will be going down the road in the next lane and decide they want to be in your lane, regardless if you like it or not. These horns wake them up reeeaaallllyyy quick.
