Honestly, I would do a 4G63. People have done the swap to the conquest/starion for many years now. The power potential of the 4G63 is out of this world for a 2L I4 and the motor and parts are dirt cheap. Plus that way you won't change handling characteristics with added weight on the front end. Understeer sucks. at least when you screw up and oversteer you look cool.

I foregot about the Conquest those engines rocked.

I know Shep racing, a few hours from me here in Ohio, used to race a 7 second all wheel drive 1g Talon DSM. 2L 4G63. Tons of power. He has been working on a new more powerful setup from what I hear and hasn't raced that car since 06 I think?

The 283 is cool But there are a couple of other engines I think would be better. I know onething you can spin the shit out of a 283.

And the early blocks can be bored .125" over, making it a 301 - basically a Z-28. This one's a '67, so I doubt the casting is as thick.

You want it? I can't do anything with it and I'm moving to Ky in about a week. I can make you a REALLY good deal on it...
