Guys,I need a little help.Having a hard time trying to figure out a name for a new truck I bought a month ago.It is a 1968 M543A2 Multifuel 5 ton Military Wrecker.....well,wreck of a wrecker at this moment. The names for all my other vehicles just came to me.This one is different.Nothing is comming to me.Atleast nothing that feels right.Granted,it hasn't actually proven itself worthy of a name or worthy of actually rebuilding yet but I am 90% sure that no matter what condition everything is in,it will be restored(And some of you muscle car guys thought you performed a Miracle Rebuild!).

Last pic.Guess there is a 3 pic limit cause I couldn't put this one in the original message.OR I got another glitch.....
But anyway, you can see it is in rough shape....and yes,the door fell the rest of the way off when loading it up on the trailer.Roof is crushed in on the passenger side,Cab tub is rusted out(total write off there,Swapping it out),Engine needs a total rebuild but got a good running take out comming,Fenders look useable with a little messaging,Hood....well,see the cab tub,Rear bed is in rough but saveable condition as long as the hydrolics are still serviceable. Not sure there since the Power diverter is MIA....and that little gear box cost about as much as what I paid for the whole truck! You can see the open spot in the under truck picture.

How about nothin' because if it doesn't speak to you right away, it's time to move on. Oh, snap! Where are the smileys when you need 'em?
I would repurpose those Rockwells, though.

hmmm,Forgot all about this thread.....Oops....I kinda like our leaders suggestion...Kinda fitting since it looks like something scrapped up off the road.......right now.......E-M,a few names did come to mind the first time I saw it but I had to scrap those ideas cause they wouldn't be PG13 rated for the other sites I belong to.

When I was a kid,my stepfather had a wrecker like that named "The Bull" , somebody had painted it bright orange and white and it had a handpainted charging bull on the driver's door . That thing could pull just about anything out of anywhere. Old military trucks are pretty tough.
