Did Mack trucks ever use Rockwell axles? I started driving for a company that just picked up several used Mack trucks and one of 'em looks like it has a pair of 'em. This company drives stuff to death, so if I stick around long enough I can probably get 'em cheap. You wouldn't believe all the worn out stuff laying around.

I was told but have never tried that the "chunk" (3rd member) could be swapped into the military 5 ton front and rears. The military 5 tons were 6:14 and the dump trucks have various ratios up and down from that and some water trucks had like a 10 something gear. Let me go surf around for a definate answer, www.chuckstrucks.net web board is where a lot of the rockwell axle guys hang out.

All 2.5 rocks were 6:72 geared.

It'll be a long time before I get to anything that will need Rockwells. I've got to get on my daughter's car, then on to the Sunbird. On top of that, I found a mid to late 70's LeMans or maybe Grand Am languishing in a junkyard. I want it so bad. It's my second favorite car after the 'Bird.
