Getting to the end, all sheetmetal is hung, trim on, bumpers, new weatherstripping, trunk got a coat of splatter paint like original. Detailed the engine compartment, I'm stuck with the 2 barrel for now so I cleaned everything up, no headers for now so I used  this stuff called Calz manifold dressing and this stuff works great, even used it on the Master cylinder and it made it look brand new, we'll see how it works in the long run. I have to replace the valve cover gaskets so when I do I'll spray the valve covers then. Sprayed the rallye wheels Mettallic Silver and a couple of coats of clear they look great. I still need the window felts and it will all be done.

Well for intents and purpose its pretty much done, except for the window felts which are holding me up. Tires and wheels went on today and took it for a ride, feels pretty good. Will take it to get a new dual exhaust later.

looks good. some smithy's would sound good on there. I regret having put flowmasters on my 65 LeMans, they sound good for a while then they develop a drone that becomes obnoxious.  Does it ride like a Cadillac?

cheeseman, you did a great job that car looks bad as hell. I think you tire and rim combo looks pretty sweat too! What part of New York ya from, I lived in Buffalo all my life, well until I followed the birds down south a few years back?

Thanks, I'm lucky I had the time and money to get it done, plus my friend Jim who wrangled space in a shop he does work in ocasionaly. He gets the credit for a lot of the work and though he did get paid it doesn't really cover the amount of man-hours he put into it. I'm real happy about the way it came out, now if only Classic industries would come through with the window felts I'd be done.
I live on LI and work in Rescue 4 FDNY, I'll be down south eventually, I have relatives strung out through the south, I'm thinking Georgia or tennesee one of these days, who knows.

While waiting for the window felts I changed the valve cover gaskets and repainted some engine parts, it's not a big block but will do for now.

Thanks Lou, watching you gave me the confidence to start this project. Not only are you a great Fabricator, but you have the ability to teach others what you are doing, which is why we need someone like you back on the tube, I'm sure everyone here will agree we can't wait for the new show. Now I'm looking for another project.

Really liking your car. Now , if it were me, some future ideas: Some sort of LSX based motor. Not that difficult to do and not horribly expensive . Firing up and running like silk the first try is really nice with EFI. Plus, bolt on mods as you go make killer power gains.

Lower that beast! That car sitting in a lowered stance ready to pounce will set it apart from others+ is a cheap ( although time consuming) mod .

other than that , leave her just like she is. Car looks great and is a solid platform for mods.

Thanks, but I gotta let it sit the way is right now, with time and money maybe airride and LS,The paint and bodywork blew my budget.

That, my friend , is why the world of hot rodding is so much fun . You never have to do anything right away. Besides , waiting for that " just right" engine deal  or parts on the cheap to come along is what it is all about.

Very true its like a kid waiting for Christmas. Besides if we were all rich and could buy anything at anytime we wanted to we would get spoiled and would not enjoy it as much. Dam I sound like my dad.
That must mean I'm really enjoying this cause I'm waiting along time in between parts! LOL

+ It gives you a greater appreciation for your car and you are less likely to go out and destroy it.
