Luo big differance between need and want LOL momma always told me I could want in one hand and shit in the other and see whitch fills up firstFrown But really keep your eyes on the Stovebolt foum www.stovebolt.com look in the swap meet section for the truck and the bigbolts section for any info you may need on the big trucks.

BTW they make really cool car haulers made with an Olds or Cadie FWD transaxle for the front and a two axle car trailer grafted to the frame for the rear.

Good luck with your search Lou I will be looking forward to seeing what you do with it when you find it Grant

BTW here is what I was trying to post earlier, I was brainstorming about the front wheel drive COE car hauler thing and I think if a guy were to use the front suspension from a one ton four wheel drive Chevy and leave out the diff a guy could tie it to a 6 speed overdrive Alison transaxle like they use in a pusher motor home or buss and a Duramax now that would make one hell of a car hauler.

Thank you e-merlin I need to get back in to this truck it has been way to long since I have made any progress.
Hey Lou you find a COE truck yet??? Note my idea for a heavy duty front wheel drive COE car hauler I think this would be the ultimate an Olds 455 or Caddie 500 and transaxle mated to late model Chevy one ton independent 4x4 front end for a stout front wheel drive set-up with 16” dulie style wheels.
BTW, You may want to spend some time at www.stovebolt.com if you are serious about finding a COE truck.

Ok here we go again not full tilt by any means but I am back on this project. I took the model of the cross over steering arm that needs to be fabricated to a machinist friend of mine to be made. I am going to concentrate on the front axle and steering till I have the truck easily movable move to the brake system then back to getting the engine and transmission all mounted up.

Lou I have a 46 chevy COE that I started a frame off restoration on. Looking at putting a cummins, or duramx in it to replace that old straight 6.
