like those 4 link brackets. they look familiar my bottom bar brackets are done like that looks good man.
Hey, Lou, what are you setting the engine/tranny on when you level it out? Maybe you could do a short how-to vid on that for those of us who are just getting into that sort of thing? I don't think anyone on any how-to show has ever covered that. Maybe it's something that is just taken for granted that everyone knows. I've done a lot of mechanic work and farmboy fab, but I've never had to do that.
I can do that I plan on doing some video real soon.
Hey Lou the inner bracing on the car is that just to help stiffen the frame?
Yes it is I will tie both sides together after I put the exhaust in.
WOW you really do get things done during the day. It's looking pretty good.
It looks sweet!! Great Job so, far on it!!
This is why Lou makes $75.00 hr. Lou your the man! ( This is 150.00 hr work! )
I have a few more pictures of the Buick. The exhaust is all mandrel bends. I couldn't run the exhaust all the way out because I need the body on.
I cut up a set of Hooker Super Comps because they were 2 inches from the ground.
The control arms are from Air Ride. Right now all I have in is the lowers. I want to make sure I have enough room for the headers.
Lou,
You continue to amaze with your skills...and more importantly the way you can express and show us just how simple it can be when you think/plan it out....
Thanks again, and keep it comin...
Hey Lou! what did you do go steal that tubing from Pro Fab?
Well the economy got me! After I left the show the Economy start to go down the drain. I been hangin on but, the buick has left the building. The man who owns it has a couple of GM dealerships need I say more. So I put the front end on it so it could move and sent it home.
There is a small light at the end of the tunnel He called me the other day and said it was going to come back, so we will see.
That sucks you were doin an amazing job on it. Just what you have done so far has given me a ton of ideas to work with. I hope it gets back to you so you can finish it and I hope that you keep going even in the tough economic times. You are by far in my opinion one of the best builders out there and the industry can't loose you. Awesome work on the Buick!!!
Wow. Lets hope he gets his stuff together and sends the car back to you. It was looking great.
Pass the word guys. He's got time for more projects if there is anyone in need of the his skills.
Lou if I had the cash I would be proud to own one of your masterpieces I would even bring you my beloved Bull Dog that 56 Chevy dump of mine to finish.
I know I had to put my business on the back burner and was fortunate enough to find a job with a company that is a Gov. contractor doing vehicle maintenance and will be keeping my equipment and doing side jobs so I can come back full force when the economy recovers.
Good luck Lou I truly enjoy seeing your work and hope you are able to keep it going and prosper.
I'll Do the dumptruck. Fuckin airbags maybe even Hydros 3 wheels BABY!!
