Most of the Merlins and Alison V12s got used up by the Hydroplane racers before they started using turbins.

Naaah Reminds me too much of Nam,give me a "77 corvette and an "88 ford ranger 4x4 instead,oh wait never mind,I have both of those.

Good to see you back on the air somewhere. Having a real hard time watching the "Power Block",these days Courtneys' FINE and Horsepower is good,Extreme 4x4 is okay,(and Jesse is fetching and of course way tooo young),but I can't watch Musclecar at all .

Ya know, Brent is still there. I think he holds the show together since Lou left. He's got some MAD SKILLS. I like watching him fab shit up!

Go figure. I just think if Brent was a little more outspoken (Brent it's a positive thing), I don't think they would need Rick.

I second that. Brent seems to be the one with all the skills and Rick is just a face and an airbrush.

Ah Rick is cool. He seems to be a great painter. But of course we all loved watching Lou Make cool stuff out of nothing. I learned a ton, just watching him. My favorite part of The original Musclecar with Lou was that it wasnt the standard 30 minute auto parts commerical that car shows always were up to that point.
Musclecar definitly isnt the same, and we all love Lou's work (thats why were here). But theyre still working on some cool projects.

I found a sick engine this weekend at the drag strip. It was the 1st deisel powered dragster to run over 200mph in the 1/4 mile. I'll dig out the pics of it later and post them. It was weird cause it was so quiet compared to the loud big blocks and all. All you could here was the turbo whine, and a big black smoke trail following it.. :)

The car is awesome. It was a pleasure to meet both you guys last weekend. I have had editing problems this week. The program I was using keeps crashing on me, now I have photoshop CS3 but it is a bit more complicated.... Extreamly!! I'll grab one of Bob's with it in the air and post it in a minute. Plus I've been lining up work for next weekend. I talked the CRA out of a press credential to shoot at the Winchester 400 next weekend. So I will be at Muncie Dragway this Saturday, but the following weekend I'm at Winchester all weekend.

I'll get this editing figured out. I haven't even figured out how to crop at the same aspect ratio as the original image..... urg..

Anyone know any links to How to Guides. I just need to crop, adjust some exposure, brightness, the easy stuff....

Thanks Lou, we appreciate it!  Here is what we are faced with for Memphis.
1. When the car re-entered the atmosphere it broke a lot of parts. The upper arms, the shocks, the oil pan, probably the k member and steering rack.
2. Ted's son is getting married next Saturday, so he was going to drive the rig to Memphis, run qualifications, then fly home Friday night for his son's wedding, then fly back to Memphis Saturday night ro run Sunday. Ted was willing and ready to do it, he's a hell of a guy!
3. We swapped the car over to an air to water intercooler this year. The True Street rules do not allow the water to be drained out between rounds. The car would be one of the slower ones in drag radial if we went that route, which we could do, but they changed the rules this year and limited the rear drag radials to a 295. We'e been using 325's.
4. We had two customers use stolen credit cards to buy Moser rears from us. Many people do not realize that credit card companies are not liable for this, it is the merchant that gets taken. Between these two crooks $5,500.00 was taken taken back out of our account! We found out that Performabilt, Yank, Scoggin-Dickey and several other shops are out money from these two crooks as well.
5. The CTS-V that we built that is featured in the August issue of GM High-Tech just received a Madman Racing 9 inch rear. We were planning on taking it to Memphis but we are having problems with the axles and Madman won't have new ones done in time. Here is a link to this 809 rwhp V. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com/projectCar.php?car=29

We talked about our situation Monday and decided not to take the Camaro to Memphis. It appears that it was not meant to be this year. The LS1/ProCharger equipped Mazda RX7 we built is going to Memphis, it is shown here.

All in all, I'm pretty bummed about it. Bob

With just warm water in the air to water intercooler and 17 degrees of timing, we got 834 rwhp. Not bad for a Powerglide with a 5000 stall converter on slicks! Bob
